Hooverville Network of Support
The Hoovervilles of the Great Depression were often found at railroad junctions and intersections of major thruways. They were roughly designed, slapdash shantytowns where the poor, itinerant, and disenfranchised segment of the population - the "hobos" - would live for a while before they had to move on to find work or opportunity. It was there that the myths, stories, memories, and legends of individual Americans were exchanged and passed along.
We imagine Hooverville Productions to be a similar kind of place: not lavish or grand, but a place where we can gather around a trashcan fire and share the memories of the places we've been, the promises of the places we're going.
Hooverville Productions exists as a result of the generosity of our wonderful network of support. By contributing to the company, these individuals have ensured that we have the necessary resources to achieve our mission and our goals and have coaxed life into the organization. We express our sincerest gratitude and we welcome them to our own artistic Hooverville.
Please contact us if you would like to join us as we continue to develop and grow as a company.
